This kale stripper is a cool and convenient little gadget to help strip kale, swiss chard, herbs and other large leaf veggies. You can buy it and read more about it here.
Here’s what the manufacturer has to say about their product: “Designed with different sized holes this clever gadget can be used to strip leaves from a variety of leafy greens such as kale, chard and greens as well as herbs such as rosemary, oregano and thyme. Simple to use just insert stem and pull through the selected hole. Remove leaves from herbs and kale in seconds with the Chef’n Looseleaf Kale and Greens Stripper”.
It’s definitely very convenient for stripping leaves or herb stems, although if the kale leaf is really bulky on top of thick leaves, the stem can break. We used it on two different types of kale and found that the Tuscan/Dinosaur variety of kale strips all the way to the top of the step because it’s less thick and leafy than other kale varieties. If you’re wanting to do a bunch of leaves at once, it’s definitely very helpful to strip faster and safer. It’s the perfect tool to get your kids involved! There’s no sharp edges so kids can easily help strip lots of kale and herbs for your next salad.

Rosemary is great to strip because the stem is more tough and woody. Perfect for all your roast chicken and potato recipes! Works great to strip other herbs too, like thyme, Italian parsley, tarragon. Herbs with a thicker or woody stem.
