Air Fryer Easy Doughnut Recipe

Wonder if donut can be air fried? Yes for sure and the results are really good. We were surprised ourselves as our first tests were devoured in minutes. Using canned flaky biscuit dough, these air fried doughnuts are quick, easy and amazing. The texture is fluffy and flaky and it only takes a few minutes to make. What we love about these so much is that you can make a small batch, like 2-3 donuts. Save the dough and make more the next day. Or if you have a larger air fryer, you can use the whole of biscuits and cook it all in one batch.

Tips for How To Cook Air Fryer Doughnuts

  1. Our recipe below is for Air Fryer Cinnamon Doughnuts. But if you don’t want to sprinkle cinnamon sugar you can use any type of frosting or glaze that you want!
  2. You can also use regular canned biscuits dough but we really love the flaky dough. The flaky layers make the doughnut light and wonderful.
  3. If you are making the doughnuts in smaller batches you can save the dough for the next day. But make sure to air fry them all the next day because the longer the dough sits in the fridge, the less they rise when cooked.
  4. Every air fryer cooks differently and there’s different air fryer sizes. So you will have to adjust timing a bit that works best for your air fryer. Make a test batch of 1-2 donuts first to understand the best timing that works for your air fryer.
