Strawberry Daiquiri Recipe

This drink is like a cold, refreshing frozen slushy and vodka. Simple and tasty without a lot of fuss. In fact, it’s so easy and non-fussy that you might be drinking two of these during a hot Summer day. It’s a take off the classic daiquiri with the addition of some ice. Blended is our favorite way to enjoy this drink this frozen strawberry daiquiri. Everything about this screams Summer, party, celebrations and happy days.

Fresh or Frozen Strawberries ? 

For this strawberry daiquiri recipe, you can use either and both are great. Frozen strawberries are easy if you don’t have access to fresh peaches. And you can use less ice and frozen strawberries makes the drink more slushy. Also, it melts slower. If you have some really sweet and ripe fresh strawberries you can use those instead of frozen. Just make sure to use a little more ice. Or if you don’t want the frozen strawberry daiquiri to be too slushy, you can use less. Customize the drink to your perusal liking and everyone will be happy. It’s definitely a frozen cocktail drink to make everyone happy, especially when it’s a hot day. You can double the recipe if you like to serve more. It all depends on how much to serve each person. Just please drink responsibly!

Fun Fact: The “Daiquiri” is named for a village in Cuba near where the cocktail was invented.

Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri

You can make with fresh strawberries if you have them. Hull & slice the strawberries. And increase the ice to 1 1/2 to 2 cups of ice, depending on the warmth of your other ingredients.
This recipe easily scales up for big parties!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) light or white Rum
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) fresh Lime Juice (usually about 3 limes)
  • 1/4-1/2 cup (50-100 g) Sugar , about (depending on your sweetness preference)
  • 2 cups (288 g) frozen Strawberries
  • 1 cup (240 ml) Ice , approximately
  • Optional - strawberry slices , for garnish

Instructions 

  • Combine rum, lime juice and sugar in a blender. Blend until sugar is dissolved.
    Blend Sugar
  • Add the strawberries & ice & blend well until everything is smooth.
    Divide between the 2 glasses, garnish if you like, and serve.
