Hoisin Peanut Butter Dip Recipe for Spring Rolls, Egg Rolls, Dumplings | @bestrecipebox

This Hoisin peanut dip recipe is always a necessity when eating Asian foods that are accompanied by a dip. When making egg rolls, spring rolls or dumpling recipes on this site,  having a dipping sauce is an added bonus to the meal. Though the egg rolls can be wonderful on their own, the dipping sauce is an extra layer of flavor that heightens the dish. And besides, kids love dipping their food into sauces, so this peanut dip recipe is a stand-by favorite that’s super easy and delicious. Dip raw vegetables in this dip or even use it as a stir-fry sauce. It’s wonderful with noodles and vegetables.

The best part about this dip is that it’s freaking easy to make. All you need is a blender and add all the ingredients inside. Within 5 minutes you have a dip that is perfect for dipping what ever your heart desires. This recipe is so easy that you can double or triple the recipe. If it gets a little thick, just add more water to your preference.

This is the recipe that we’ll be referring back to for all our chicken recipes that would be paired with a dip. It’s adapted from a recipe on White On Rice Couple. Though the recipe is only 3 ingredients, you can amp it up with some sesame oil, fresh lime juice and vinegar. The extra kick of acid and flavors will make the dip and more bold. If you’re making a big batch, store the leftovers in the fridge. It’ll still be good for about 2 weeks. And again, just thin out the dip to your preference by adding some water.

Hoisin Peanut Dip

Yield: @ 1 cup

Total Time: 5 min

This recipe is super easy and still wonderful if you decide to add extra flavors such as hot sauce, fresh lime juice, sesame oil or vinegar. Make it to your own liking!

Some hoisin sauces are thicker than others. Adjust the water amount in the recipe to your desired dip consistency.

  • 1/2 cup Hoisin
  • 1/4 cup Peanut Butter
  • chili hot sauce or Sriracha Sauce(optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice, or to taste
  • optional ~ 1 teaspoon rice vinegar, to taste
  • about 1/2 cup water, or to preferred dip consistency

  1. In medium bowl, combine all dip ingredients together. Add water to the sauce until the consistency is what you like in a dip.
  2. If you're making a very large batch, you can add all the ingredients in a blender for a smoother dip. But make sure to keep adding enough water to make it dip-able.
