How to Cut Watermelon

This easy technique for slicing watermelon into sticks for simple serving and easy eating. You can get a great bite and mouthful of sweet watermelon. Best of all, it’s easy to serve a huge crowd for a big party of hungry watermelon eaters. One common struggle in slicing a watermelon, especially a large juicy, delicious watermelon, is the initial cutting the melon in half. First of all, don’t bother trying to make the knife go all the way through. Just cut insert the knife tip into the watermelon and then cut into it a 3 or 4 inches deep. Secondly, cut through the rind, rotating the watermelon to cut the circumference. Finally, once the rind it cut through, the interior of the watermelon with break to separate into halves.

Our video shows you both ways and watching it is way easier than explain it in words because it’s super easy. You can take this technique further and cut the watermelon into chunks for a salad. Breaking it down further into chunks is a great way to eat it with a fork if folks don’t want to eat the watermelon with their hands. Either way, it’s a great way to chop up the whole watermelon into your favorite way of eating it.
