This was such a neat recipe. The crust was nice and crispy with a hot inside. Perfect texture for this dessert.
Made this for Christmas Eve dinner at our son’s family home. It was so delicious, has its own caramel sauce. Used the tenderflake shortening pie dough recipe, very flaky, and crisp on the edges.
Absolutely delicious! And surprisingly easy to make with my store bought pie dough.
I made this with a Trader Joe’s pie crust and it was wonderful!
