Make ahead of time & chill. To keep from getting watered down, add the ice to just the glasses when serving or have ice on the side and have everyone ice & pour their own margaritas. If you can use fresh pineapple juice for this, it will be amazing! For warm summer parties, we suggest to go lighter on the tequila, but feel free to make it as "punchy" as you like. To adjust the sweetness, use more or less of the juices or orange liqueur (different brands will also vary in sweetness).
1 1/2cups(360ml)Orange Juice
1/4cup(60ml)fresh Lime Juice(usually about 2 limes)
1 - 1 1/2cups(240-360ml)Tequilaor 1/2-1.5 oz. simple syrup, depending on your sweetness preference
1cup(240ml)Orange Liqueur (triple sec, Cointreau, Grand Marnier, etc)
Optional - Flaky Salt, for rim of glasses
Optional - fresh pineapple and lime slices, for garnish
In a large pitcher, mix pineapple juice, orange juice, lime juice, tequila, and orange liquor together until well combined. If you want to make it pretty, add some pineapple & lime slices to the pitcher. Chill until ready to serve.
When ready to serve, rub rim of glasses with a lime slice and dip in salt. Add ice to the glasses, pour in the pineapple margarita and garnish with pineapple and limes.
To Make Fresh Pineapple Juice (with just a blender):1 pineapple makes about 1 - 1/2 cups of juicePeel, core, and blend 2-3 fresh, ripe pineapples. Strain the pineapple through a fine mesh strainer to extract the fresh juice.
