All microwaves cook differently even if they are of the same size and wattage. You might need to adjust your cooking time. After you cooked your first batch, you’ll know what time is best for your specific microwave and personal taste.

Ingredients
1Tablespoonbutter
2eggs
1Tablespoon(15ml)milk
salt, to taste
bepper, to taste
Optional Toppings
2Tablespoons(30ml)grated cheese
chopped tomatoes, parsley, cooked bacon, ham, etc.
Place butter on a 6-8 inch microwave safe plate with slightly high rim. Microwave on High for about 20 seconds to melt butter.
In a bowl beat the the eggs, milk, salt and pepper until evenly mixed.
Pour egg mixture on the plate.
Cover plate with a microwave safe lid or plate.
Microwave on High for 1 minute. Bring in the sides of set egg mixture to release uncooked egg and allow it to go to the edges of the bowl.
Cover again and continue microwaving in 30 second intervals until cooked to your preference.
Lay cheese and your choice of toppings on one half of the omelette. Gently fold omelette over.
Add additional toppings over the omelette and serve warm.

Microwave Safe Containers & Lids
Microwave safe glass (particularly borosilicate glass) & ceramic containers are the recommended choice. *Do not use cracked or otherwise damaged containers.
Never use plastics (containers, bags, wrap, etc.) that are not labeled microwave safe. Never use styrofoam, metal, or aluminum foil.
Lids - microwave safe glass, ceramic or silicone is best. A microwave safe plate works great as a lid. Parchment paper, wax paper, or paper towels work fine, but may not hold the steam in as much (many recipes benefits from the steam retention). Microwave safe plastic lids are considered acceptable. Usually we prefer to use a lid from glass, ceramic, or silicone and just use the microwave safe plastic lids that come with the containers for storing.
