This was absolutely perfect for date night dinner. What a great pairing with red wine. My wife loved it.
Very savory! Will be making this for Thanksgiving. I can’t wait!
I’ve been making this recipe for a few months and it is absolutely thee best tasting mushroom my family love. I normally have them with grilled chicken because we’re not big beef (steak) eaters however we had it once with a steak. Thanks for such a great recipe. Yummy Yummy
Really good flavor. Will make again.
Thanks for the feedback and we’re happy that you enjoyed the recipe!
This goes well with a lot of things! Even my kids really loved it!
I had the chance to make these for Thanksgiving and they were a hit. I’m definitely making this recipe all year round!
These are perfect for holidays and always delish for everyday! Thanks for sharing.
That’s a lot of chili flakes if you don’t like spicy. We cut the amount in half and still felt like it had enough kick to it.
Think I’ll use as a base and add rice and maybe spinach and make it a pie
That sounds delicious!
Can I make this two days ahead?
The texture changes. We don’t really recommend it.
I made this as a topping to go with potato peirogis and it was delicious!
Awesome. What a great combo. We hadn’t even thought of putting it on pierogis.
I am gonna make these one day soon, I always loved Mushrooms in Pizzas but had never tried to have some Separately. Thanks for the Recipe , Cheers from Pakistan
I really liked the flavor of the mushrooms. I thought this was a great dish and I will definitely make it again. Quick, easy, and tasty!
Thanks Marina!
Could I use other types of mushrooms in this recipe?
Yes indeed. Just about any mushroom will work. Enjoy!
I made this recipe as is and everyone in my family absolutely loved it! Tonight, I’d like to incorporate chicken with this, but not quite sure how to do it. Should I double the sauce? Cook the chicken in the sauce first, then mushrooms? If you have any advice for me I’d really appreciate it! Thank you!
Hi Ashely! Yes, cook the chicken ahead of time and use the same pan with the chicken flavor to cook the mushrooms. Then serve the chicken and mushrooms together. Enjoy!
What is the best white wine to use?
We like to use a dry white like a sauvignon blanc or similar, but it is really up to personal preference.
Is there a substitute I can use for the white wine? I’m an underage cook.
You can substitute using chicken broth..
Some cooking wines are alcohol-free.
You can sub white grape juice as well.
Chicken stock would work nicely
I’m assuming the onion and garlic is minced ? 😉 and it looks like from the picture the mushrooms are kept whole?
Correct. You can cut the mushroom if you prefer, especially if they are large.
